This series follows the lives of nine student paramedics as they go on their first ever placement with the East Midlands Ambulance Service. After just a few weeks in university they are thrown on to the emergency front-line at the busiest time of year - the six weeks leading up to Christmas when the ambulance service is pushed to breaking point.
