The plot takes place in the 1980s, in Rio de Janeiro. Day plays Simone Mantovani, a woman who wants to break away from her marriage and is looking for a divorce. She is married to Tony Mantovani (Alexandre Slaviero), the protagonist of the story, a musical composer in crisis with his profession.
