Mayawee lost her whole family. Her sister who was a famous actress committed suicide, and her mother and brother died in a fire. Broken and lonely, she leaves her village after running away from a rapist on a rainy night. She faints but fortunately, is found by a woman who gives her shelter. Soon she is given an opportunity. She auditions for the lead role in a series and hides her identity using the name Maya.
