Alice, the daughter of a wealthy diamond mine owner in the fictional country of Anasia, dreams of becoming a photographer and traveling the world. For her 20th birthday, her father fulfills her wish by sending her to Thailand to learn photography under the guidance of Dan, a professional photographer. While Alice sees this as a new adventure, her father sees it as a way to protect her from political corruption back home in Anasia.
