“Marzahn, mon amour” tells the autobiographically inspired story of Kathi Grabowski (Jördis Triebel), who turns her life completely upside down. After her husband Heiko (Holger Bülow) has moved out, she can no longer keep herself and her daughter Lilly (Maja Bons) afloat as writers. So she decides to make a fresh start as a chiropodist in Berlin-Marzahn, once the largest prefabricated housing estate in the GDR.
