Trainee constable Su Xiao Qiao swaps identities and appearances with Gu Qing Dai, the widow of the bandit leader in Qingfeng Village, to investigate her mother's murder. Posing as Gu, Su becomes the bandit stronghold's leader and "marries" Chu Yan who is her undercover superior from the Suzheng Office as her coerced husband, aiming to unravel the conspiracy.
