Zion Cohen, who was raised by his grandmother in Beit She'an, is sent to live with a foster family in the upscale Denia neighborhood of Haifa, in hopes of giving him a better future. The sudden move forces him to adapt to a completely new reality-new friends, a new family, and an unfamiliar way of life. As part of the new household rules, Zion is required to write in a journal every evening. At first, he resists-but over time, he opens up and embraces the writing, which gradually reveals his personal story: how his father ended up in prison, and his own deep longing for belonging and identity. Through the journal, Zion begins to find his place in the world-and a home within himself.
