Adriana is a hardworking physical therapist hired to work for Artur Brandão, a difficult millionaire, gaining his friendship. A lonely man whose family is only interested in his money, Artur decides to marry Adriana in order to make her his heir; however, on the night of the wedding, he is murdered. Unjustly convicted, Adriana can only count on idealistic attorney Pedro, and, on probation after six years, she has two goals: solving Artur's murder and taking revenge on all those who put her in prison.
