Elite university graduate Kaoru joins a venture firm where she meets the CEO, Mamie, who is a high school dropout and single mother secretly raising a daughter, Iroha. Mamie is afraid her background will hamper Iroha’s chances of entering a prestigious and very traditionally conservative grade school. Knowing Kaoru fits the ideal mother profile, Mamie asks Kaoru to impersonate Iroha's mother, outsourcing the job of a “fake mommy”.
