38-year-old Sami (Omar El-Saeidi) juggles his life with unparalleled optimism: a cleaner at a snack bar by day, he slips into a suit at night and pretends to his daughter Isa (Tokesa Konxheli) at dinner that he's working as a tax consultant. He lost his job due to a mishap that also forced him to attend a weekly meeting with an anti-aggression group. He sees his chance to return to work when he meets the busy and well-connected Suma Yildirim (Meltem Kaptan). The restaurant owner is facing a financial audit and urgently needs help organizing her documents. There's just one catch: A life lived conscientiously according to the Koran is axiomatic for Suma – to win her as a client, the German-Egyptian must, of all people, impersonate an exemplary Muslim.
