A modern adaptation of the Biblical tale of Saul and David, taking place in an abandoned military base. Following escalations throughout the West Bank, a paratrooper platoon under Shaul’s command is sent to reconstruct an old military base, abandoned twenty years earlier. The base is named “Hammam” after an ancient bathhouse site located in the nearby wadi, where a Bedouin tribe has claimed the ruins of an ancient castle. A series of mysterious events lead Shaul to believe the base is cursed, as he slowly loses his sanity. Finally, he loses touch with reality and is replaced by Dudi - the platoon’s humblest, most introverted soldier - who soon falls prey to the curse himself.
