As an actor he is known for his roles in RoboCop 3 (1993), Tombstone (1993), and Thinner (1996). In the 2000s he became well known for his portrayal of Father Mickey Gavin on Rescue Me, Bart Bass in Gossip Girl, General Clarke in Army Wives and Ed Tucker in Law & Order: SVU
