Une grande série qui prend son temps. Non pas qu'elle soit lente (rien à voir), mais elle prend le temps d'explorer ses personnages, leurs vies, leur évolution. Comme vous pourrez le lire dans pas mal d'articles élogieux sur le net, le football américain n'est qu'un prétexte pour faire avant tout une véritable chronique sociale de l'amérique profonde (et ce n'est pas péjoratif). Car ici, pas d'histoires alambiquées et autres retournements de situation rocambolesques de dernière minute, non ici c'est la réalité, la vraie vie, avec tout ce qu'elle comporte de négatif et de positif.
Ajoutez à ça une réalisation de qualité (certains la rapproche de The Wire - que je n'ai pas encore vu donc je ne peux pas confirmer), des histoires qui se tiennent, des acteurs parfaits, et surtout, surtout, des personnages vraiment très attachants !
Rare et injustement méconnu, c'est un petit bijou américain ! Foncez !

A great series that takes its time. Not that it is slow (nothing), but it takes time to explore his characters, their lives, their evolution. As you will read in a lot of glowing reviews on the net, football is only a pretext to do before any real social chronicle of america deep (and this is not pejorative). Because here no convoluted stories and other reversals of incredible circumstances last minute, here it is not reality, real life, with all that it has negative and positive.
Add to that a realization of quality (some closer to the The Wire - I have not seen it yet so I can not confirm), stories that take place, perfect actors, and especially, especially, the very characters endearing!
Rare and underrated, this is a small American gem! Go for it!

i am rewatching the tvshow, and this is one of the best shows i've ever watched! it's not just about people, its about having faith in poeple and what this faith do to them!

Just finished watching the five seasons of Friday Night Lights. And this show is probably one of the best I've ever seen!
The directing and cinematography are amazing, the acting is absolutely great, the writing is perfect, the characters are well developed.
I didn't know I could become so passionate about high school football!
But it's probably because this show is about much much more than just high school football. It deals with important society issues like racism (we're in Texas here), the place of religion in american society, abortion, family, pressure on young athletes, the power of money, the different chances you get at reaching your dreams depending on where you come from...
This is about teenagers and how they deal with those issues, and how they grow and mature dealing with them.
This is about life itself and how you move on to live your life even though you might prefer to stay in a place (literally and figuratively) where you feel safe.
This is about choices, the good ones and the bad ones, the easy ones and the tough ones.
This show speaks right to the heart, or at least it spoke to mine.
I don't know how I haven't heard about it until now! Anyway, a must-see!

Comme une envie de me refaire tous les épisodes de cette série depuis le debut. j'y ai découvert Taylor Kitch et depuis je ne suis jamais déçue par ses interprétations quel que soit le rôle qu'il joue.

As I want to redo all the episodes of this series since the beginning. I discovered Taylor Kitch and since I am never disappointed by his performances regardless of the role he plays.

J'adore cette série pourtant je ne connaissais rien au football américain ! Elle est à la fois divertissante et réaliste avec des personnages plus qu'attachant !

I love this series but I knew nothing about football! It is both entertaining and realistic with characters more endearing!

One can tell how powerfully moving FNL is just by watching its Pilot episode. The emotion and faith that surround the local football team prove how huge sport can be and make this series so special and meaningful, because FNL is really about the people behind the lights of the friday nights.

Ne vous fiez pas à l'aspect teenage des affiches, FNL est une belle série "sociale" avec le foot US en background. Portée par un casting de haute volée avec entre autres Kyle Chandler, Taylor Kitsch ou encore Michael B. Jordan, ce show fonctionne à merveille, foncez!!!

Oui c'est ça, on s'attache vite aux persos, on est pris dans les matchs (même si je n'y comprends absolument rien !), c'est une bonne série ! Ça faisait un moment qu'une copine m'en parlait, et j'étais un peu sceptique, mais je regrette pas !

encore une super série méconnu en France au départ je me disais une serie sur le football américain ouais mais au fil des épisodes j'ai apprécié de plus en plus les personnages sont traités en profondeur y compris les second rôles avec leur force et faiblesse on retrouve kyle chandler (demain à la une ) et connie briton (nashville) qui sont au top le scénario tiens la route on voit bien l'évolution des personnages la réalisation est à la hauteur elle me fait un peu pensé au frère scott vraiment une très bonne surprise et qu'on me dise pas que c'est une série pour ados une bonne série est une bonne série peut importe a la catégorie d'âge qui est cibler♥♥♥

still a great unknown serial France initially I was like a series of American football yeah but over the episodes I enjoyed more and more characters are treated in depth including second roles with their strength and weakness found kyle chandler (tomorrow for one) and connie briton (nashville) that are at the top scenario like the road we can see the evolution of the characters carrying is up it makes me a little thought to the brother scott really a very good surprise and you not tell me that it's a series for teens good series is a good set regardless to the age group that is targeting ???

Totalement d'accord avec toi Tim et Lyla devaient finir ensemble. Elle l'a fait grandir et affronter la vie. Tyra était plus une amie bien qui lui en ai fait voir de toutes les couleurs...

Totally agree with you Tim and Lyla were to end up together. She did grow up and face life. Tyra was more a good friend who I actually see all the colors ...
