This 30-minute cartoon was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1985–86 as part of their syndicated series "The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera." Galtar ran for 21 episodes and was largely created in response to the rising popularity of the He-Man franchise. The series is about the mythical sword-and-sorcery adventures of three companions: Galtar, Princess Goleeta and her younger mind controlling brother Zorn. With the help of a golden lance, Galtar battles Tormack, the tyrannical usurper of the kingdom of Bandisar who seeks to conquer the world.
