Carmem is a young and talented doctor who lives alone in São Paulo. Her best friend is Murilo, a gay man who has known her since childhood. One day, he meets Juan, an Argentinian musician with whom he falls in love and who moves in with Murilo after being kicked out of his house by his girlfriend. However, Juan, who is heterosexual, develops an interest in Carmem, who reciprocates his interest but fears Murilo's reaction. But an unexpected event changes the course of the love triangle and Carmem's life.
