Laura (Uma Thurman) is a model who obtains additional income by picking up men, Mickey Finn (drugs), and robbing them. She has a friendship with her neighbor William Tilden (Paul Richards). Sid (Paul Dillon) tracks Laura down in search of her ex Johnny (Steve Buscemi), with whom he wishes to start a band.
