The action takes place in a social services center where countless characters who have lost their vital path parade. Raquel, a young divorcee, social work theorist and former civil servant in Brussels, requests her transfer and returns to Spain. Thanks to a plug, she is hired by the social center, which is run by a thirtysomething also named Raquel, but who prefers to be called Quela.
