SHOWS ON THE RISE: June Premieres Take Over The Top 10

New Netflix original, "Malibu Rescue: The Series," climbs to No. 1. Netflix

The first week of June brought an abundance of new content starting with the series premiere of Malibu Rescue: The Series. Based on the Netflix original film, the teen comedy rose to No. 1 with a rise ratio of 99.8% while the much-anticipated fifth season of Black Mirror (No. 2), comprised of just three episodes, earned our runner-up position. Other Netflix series, 3% and Designated Survivor, also ascended into the top 10 after their latest season releases; coming in at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

Meanwhile, season premieres continued to dominate with reality TV favorite, Love Island (No. 3), and Hulu’s hit drama, The Handmaid’s Tale, which dropped three new episodes on the 5th. Additionally, Italian teen drama, Skam, and SyFy’s black comedy, Happy!, received a boost following their recent season finales. Sadly for Happy!, it was the show’s series finale as well.

June will be a big month for television as the upcoming premieres of HBO’s Euphoria, and Amazon Prime Video’s Too Old to Die Young hit our screens this week as well as the return of Pose, and the final season of Marvel’s Jessica Jones. Tune in next Monday to see who earns a slot in the top 10!

DID YOU KNOW? Black Mirror is currently the 9th most-tracked Netflix show in TV Time. The former Channel 4 series has also racked up over 2 million in-app fans over the course of the last five seasons.
