Downton Abbey non è una serie che si può riassumere come 'storia di amori, intrighi e tradimenti'. Downton Abbey tratta temi politici come la guerra e i suoi strascichi, il classismo e le lotte di classe, l'eterno conflitto tra comunisti e capitalismo, la fine dell'aristocrazia e l'incombere della modernità, dell'uguaglianza e della tecnologia. È una serie che inneggia il femminismo, che parla di rivendicazione dei diritti da parte della donna, di stupro, di morte e di perdono, di giustizia e di pregiudizi. E ciò che la rende cosi speciale è che tutti questi temi sono trattati con grande delicatezza e modernità, in modo mai scontato o banale. Se poi si pensa che tutto questo avviene in un periodo controverso come gli anni venti il suo significato si amplifica di 10 volte. Questa serie offre una prospettiva rivoluzionaria. Downton Abbey è un gioiello, un gioiello in costume e dall'accento british. Una delle mie prime tre serie preferite.

De beaux decors, des dialogues profonds, des phrases cultissimes, une peinture de l aristocratie anglaise extremement bien ficelée, des moments tragiques, des joies, des larmes, des émotions partout... Chaque épisode est un spectacle où les références à notre passé s'exaltent.

Para vocês que irão fazer a maratona: não deixem o ritmo lento ou a falta de ação assustarem vocês. Downton Abbey é uma série maravilhosa, tem um elenco incrível, um trilha sonora fantástica e é um verdadeiro drama. Nos emociona, nos faz torcer muito por certos personagens, e odiar com uma grande facilidade outros. O desenvolvimentos desses então é um espetáculo a parte. Além de tudo isso, a série retrata questões que perdura até hoje, como o machismo e homofobia, e a Inglaterra do sec. XX é apaixonante. Se ainda não estiverem convencidos: Maggie Smith. Pronto.

Lorsque l'on commence la série, on ne peut plus s'arrêter. La version Française est pratiquement aussi bien que la VO, ce qui est assez rare.

Je viens de finir la saison 1, je l'ai dévorée en une demie journée... Je crois que je suis déjà accro :-) Une petite merveille cette série.

La prima stagione l'ho finita in un giorno. SPETTACOLARE. la consiglio. Ti sembra di vivere in quell'epoca e ti immergi nelle loro vite ed abitudini. lo adoro.
