For those who was complaining about Starfire look, it was already confirmed that the outfit is for a 70’s Disco party that will appear in the first episode.

And I have a source on set who says...her look is basically the same as it was in the trailer...I’ve got a bad feeling about this show. 😓

shes still black and not orange so thats the problem

last month

M_123 if you're a true fan of the comics, then you should know that starfire was first inspired by a black woman look. also, the teen titans cartoon made starfire white but nobody complains about that, do they? please let's not judge a black actress for her skin color in 2018.

Why do people keep thinking that we give a slightest fuck that she’s black😭
If they casted a white person and still made her white and not orange i would be as mad as i am right now!!!
She’s and ALIEN and Beast boy isn’t white he’s GREEN and i’m just as mad about him.
Why bother adapting a comic to a tv show if you’re gonna change how they look and their background story and even the storyline????? Just make up some new superheroes
We’ve all been waiting for Titans. Trust me when i say i check the date everyday
But the slacking of is unacceptable
I love anna diop and she’s great and its not her fault. I’m faulting the one who picked out that stupid wig and that ugly cheap outfit.
So please stop making this about Races
Because it isn’t. Its a fucking tv show we used to watch as kids

Have you ever watched Gotham? It features real characters and adds new storylines
But the background is still the same and every character is just like the comics.
Penguin and the riddler never really fell in love and comics but they did in the show and it was still a great storyline
BUT NOTHING CHANGED he’s still penguin and the riddler is still Edd nigma.

Whats happening with Titans is different because they’re not just adding storylines
They’re changing the characters and their backgrounds, in the new trailer Starfire doesn’t even know she has powers.
And what’s even worse that everything looks cheap, the costumes, the wigs. I mean what the hell is going on with Ravens wig????
I was really trying not to judge the show because it hasn’t come out yet, but every time i watch the trailer i cringe so hard

Let be honest the wig is not that important, but ok. Since the beginning they said this is a low budget show it’s their first show from their new platform, the fact that beastboy turns into actual animals it’s amazing. Starfire doesn’t know she has power because they are doing some tests on her, it was already said that she will fly and she will release the solarbolts. About the costumes she isn’t a superhero, only Robin, Hawk and Dove have costumes because they were heroes before the show started, so they probably will end up having the heroes costumes. You can’t talk about the story before tou even know it

I wonder how would you feel if Hulk wasn't green, but rather just a big white dude... I wonder if you would say the color of the skin isn't important then... Her skin color is important detail for character just like it's for Martian Manhunter, Hulk, Hellboy and other characters like that. No one cares if she's black in real life!

Cordeiro That's where you're wrong! If they put a white person to play a black role, everyone would lose their minds. What do you think why it never happened before? People are afraid to do it because they know how everyone's so sensitive about black culture these days...

Same I love raven so much and I'm so damn worried they'll ruin her for me , she's literally the best character in the DCU , and if they f her up imma sue .

July 2018

Even if it sucks (which I don't think it will), thos won't ruin them or your fav characters. They are still the same and one can always go back to comics or the new movies (judas contract, tt vs jl, etc) or even teen titans go. Young justice has quite a few characters borrowed from Titans. Just enjoy this interpretation. Afterall, aren't we all bored seeing the same thing again and again? This is the reason I like Gotham. Always does something which is very non-traditional. E.g. have you ever heard of a concept known as "a sane Joker"? Gotham did that. Yeah, a SANE Joker. It was gorgeous.

Concordo!

View more replies
January 2018

January 2018

January 2018

Tery1243 Eu vi que você assiste Agents Og S.H.I.E.L.D. Muito, mas muito top essa série, né ?

January 2018

i do want it to be dark and gritty but just wanna point out that trying to beat the mcu by "standing out" didnt work out for the movies

July 2018

Arshia well, that's because Zack Snyder had a 5-movie arc. That's called world building. But after the "Martha" moment, DC snapped and cut it short to 2.5 movies. The whole Darkseid thing never even began before it ended. Lesson learnt? "Standing out" isn't enough. Do it with with confidence.

July 2018

Darkness without substance was the issue with the Snyderverse, not a plan cut short. I’ve got a bad feeling this show will be more of the same but I hope I’m wrong.

View more replies
July 2018

AdamKennedy Oh, there was substance, all right! I loved BvS and trust me, it just needs to be seen from a different point of view. Not everything needs to be jokes (marvel) or cute scenes (wonder woman). I love both and I do agree that Titans maybe taking the dark path without much substance but Snyderverse was dark because of the issues it raised. That if a God like figure (superman) arrived on Earth, in this age and time, the world will be divided. It WILL be. Somebody will call him God, somebody will call him a false one. Some woll embrace him while some will chant 'go home". MoS had so much destruction. That only added to the World-Building. If Clark picks a newspaper (in a company where he works), he sees headlines like," does the world needs a Superman". TV? "How do you decide Superman, as to who lives and who dies?"

All of this plus his frustating job and place in the world, how's he not supposed to be alone? Rejected? Batman is on a quest to kill him, Lex the same and the world doesn't even care. So, you say there was no substance? The substance was that the world had rejected the idea of Superman. They don't want him. Atleast, the majority don't (for contrast, see the latest The Death of Superman movie). So, when he will be gone....the whole world will miss him. That's the hypocrity of real world. It exists. We never care for somebody until he's about to leave. That's human nature for most of us actually.

And all the above, is just Superman's POV. Joss Wheden ruined it and WB just didn't have faith. SIGH.

July 2018

AdamKennedy He didn't just succumb to that rejection easily. He, as a kid, went against his father's advice and saved a bus load of his friends and enemies. He was a good kid. It was his father who instilled the fear of humanity in him. And that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Humans pick and choose things to be nice or harsh at. You are right to say that he should be the moral compass. But. Maybe he has his own experiences of life. His experiences are of a small time farmer in a small town (aplty named Smallville). You alsp know that "superheros" are not popular in the DC world. So, there was no precedent for "coming out" so to speak. He thinks..he believes the world is not ready for Superman. He believes it to his core. So much so that he prefered dying than letting his secret come out. Because he feared that people would be divided. Take the hatred that some people lend to a couple of movies in our world. If a new Hitler or some massiah (who knows's what Superman wants, he's a stranger to them), were to rise, God knows how people will lash out.
Imagine yourself being Jonathan Kent. Convince me you'll take different decisions. And don't say that he does that in comics and Smallville. Will you as Jonathan do that in OUR real world? (i'm still typing)

July 2018

As to Batman. He uses guns in a dream sequence AND outside of it, too. Now, I know, Batman doesn't kill. He doesn't. That's greatly emphasised in TDK trilogy and the comics. He doesn't kill because he actually believes in a moral code that once you do it, you can never go back to as were before. But man, it's a different universe. The Batmen from before took the darkness and moldes into what we all know and love. This one maybe has his own way of dealing with the trauma. Maybe he tried the other way. Maybe he let the Joker go, and he killed Jason? "HAHAHA! the joke's on you." It could be interpreted that way. Or someother foe that he put in jail only to kill more people. And those deaths are on him? now The Green Arrow does that too (in the show). But the trauma is there. They never ignored it. It brings us to the infamous Martha moment.

It wasn't bad. It was an accurate description of what a "trigger" is. He in his rage could have hit him with the spear but he didn't. He just lashed out in anger. That would what a person would do when he's triggered. And, who knows, maybe he would still have wanted to kill Superman after saving Martha. In that moment, he just wanted to save "a" Martha. Maybe he still believed Superman has to die. After all, he died later anyway. If he survived, maybe, his view would be different?

Also, he died by sacrificing himself. Which Batman had no idea he was capable of. It was something that he had let go of. Hope. Maybe he feels he can't sacrifice himself if given the chance and the person who can do it, is a...good guy.
We humans also have a tendency to look back on bad times with a nostalgic feeling that makes the time gone better than it actually was. Maybe that's why he feels better about Superman?
Finally, before his fight, he was just an stranger..an alien to him. Now? He had met his mother and Lois..and it made him all the more..human to him, which Bruce hasn't felt like in a long time.

July 2018

Try ro see Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Jr. with the comics Lex being his father and Lionel Luther being his grandfather.
And the random ideas you are referring to, were the first hints towards a multi-movie storyline. The Knightmare sequence with Injustice Superman and the Flash time travel sequences were supposed to serve a greater purpose. WB didn't understand that. Hell, they even cut the Steppenwolf scene im BvS original cut. Even the Man-Bat dream sequence could have been fleshed out later in a sequel or a solo Batman movie. It is more theoratical because fans just rushed to conclusions and hated it so much that DC had to abandon everything.
DCEU, JL2, Legion of Doom, everything. Plus, I don't care for a casual fan. I have friends who saw Infinity War without seeing any of the previous movies. Yeah, no thanks to caring about such "fans". Also, do you really think making a standalone movie and slapping a post credit scene is..world building? Random things happen in real life, at least some like 10% has to carry over to these comic worlds.
I haven't seen enough of Titans, so, I'm gonna ignore it.. for now.
Everything is abour jokes now because of this. Marvel already was (See: Thor 1 vs Thor 3). DC too now (Aquaman, WW2, Shazam!).

Finally, I am soooo sorry for the long reply. Just wanted to clearly explain my view of this whole thing. Hope you don't take anything too personally.

That's it..5 years and all we have are 5 movies from DC. Marvel (including Fox and Sony) makes that many in an year. So, DC's sample space is too small to draw any valid conclusions.

paschalia Yeah, since it's supposed to spinoff Doom Patrol as well. And any failure (like Solo) will discourage future projects
.(like Obi Wan)

paschalia exactly. TASM 2 failed. 3+ sinister six+venom all cancelled.

Mummy's failure ended the Dark Universe.

Now, Solo's failure pushed all of that down the drain (Obi Wan, Boba Fett, Maul, Yoda...) That's why I am surprised that people STILL hate limited projects with so much hate and then expect them to release sequels/same tone (see: BvS->JL)
