serial experiments lain (nome rigorosamente in minuscolo) è una serie che visivamente e narrativamente paga lo scotto degli anni ma ne è ripagata abbondantemente. Se da un lato rivela subito delle ingenuità, dall'altro grazie a esse guadagna in fascino e mistero.
Questa serie meravigliosa testimonia infatti perfettamente con il suo sguardo entusiasmi e inquietudini che accompagnarono la nascita del world wide web.
Se allora lo scenario era un futuro imminente e possibile, oggi che nel web viviamo immersi quel mondo narrativo risulta come una specie di interessantissima dimensione distopica (ma forse metaforicamente sensata e credibile) ambientata un passato alternativo recentissimo.

Meravigliosa la simbologia -i corvi, tanto cari a Yoshitoshi aBE- i misteriosi ronzii, i silenzi, le luci intermittenti della città. Meravigliosa, adorabile lain, piccola temeraria fragile eroina che prova a seguire i fili di un mistero più grande di lei nel labirinto di anime della ancora ignota/temuta/affascinante/inesplorata Rete delle reti.

Un anime assolutamente da vedere.

One of the most unique anime created, the art, environment, characters...This anime made me think so much and somehow it relates to the present technology and the future. Overall a masterpiece and deserves more attention. (PS - That opening is soooooooo good)

Lain est le type de manga où il faut connecter son cerveau pour ne pas être largué ! De même, c'est le type de manga qui pourrait empêcher une personne de dormir ! Donc c'est un must-watch !

Non so come ho fatto a finirlo tutto. Credo che sia stato sia per curiosità (per capire come finisce e per vedere se le cose si fanno più chiare) sia perché la parte grafica e visiva mi piace molto (ricchissimo di simbolismo). Nonostante verso la fine ci stanno un paio di spiegoni che aiutano a unire i pezzi, c'è tanta carne al fuoco, tanti temi che vengono affrontati e raccontati in un modo molto particolare, per niente lineare e intuitivo. Comunque è una serie che mi è piaciuta; forse per capirla meglio dovrei rivederla tutta, ma non credo di averne il coraggio.

I do not know how I managed to finish it all. I think it was both curious (to find out how it ends, and to see if things get clearer) and because the graphics and visual I really like (rich in symbolism). Although towards the end there are a couple of spiegoni that help to join the pieces, there are so many irons in the fire, so many issues that are addressed and told in a very particular way, not at all straightforward and intuitive. However, it is a series that I liked; perhaps to understand it better I should see her all, but do not think I have the courage.

Amei esse anime, a maneira como é tratada a relação com a Wired. Além, do excelente tema Duvet dá banda Bôa.

un anime muy pero demasiado adelantado a su época,
me creerian que habla de la adicción a la internet o "red" en 1998??? VAYA
es algo complicado de entender pero sólo hay que estar muy atento a los detalles, sobretodo a los visuales, y cuestionarse las cosas que te presentan.
al final se va explicando casi todo según como lo vayas interpretando. (por favor no la dejen a medio camino)

PD: me da un poco de vergüenza ajena los que se creen como superiores por el sólo hecho de verla por favor no lo hagan ya gracias

Un anime che fa davvero fatica ad essere seguito, per nulla semplice o di facile comprensione. È come se la sua trama volesse assomigliare al groviglio di fili elettici così tipici dell'ambiente urbano giapponese. Uscito nel 1998, è uno dei primi anime che parlano della divisione "mondo reale" e "web" (nel mondo di lain è chiamato wired), della doppia personalità. Un bel thriller, un po' pesantuccio ma visivamente è un gioiellino, ambientazioni curate, minimali, urbane. Davvero bello. Da rivedere con piu' attenzione.
