A family of merchants and bankers, which forged political relations becoming strategic in the alliances of the European dynasties, gave birth to Cardinals, four Popes and queens at the court of France and who, with their patronage, gave a decisive impulse to the Renaissance art and the creation of priceless artistic and architectural works.
