Guy Marchand, an elderly delinquent in his early twenties, commits an armed robbery at a convenience store for which Marc Michaud, an 18-year-old clerk works. Guy accidentally pulls the trigger and his ball hits Marc in the back of the neck. The latter found himself quadriplegic, or paralyzed in all four limbs for the rest of his life. Guy is not arrested but feels deep remorse, he who leads a life rather above the law.
