The average citizen Max Kerner (Walter Sittler) is not so average at second glance. He is an antiquarian, married to Andrea (Simone Thomalla), has a son named Lukas (Sergej Moya) and secretly works as a thief on the side. As a gentleman crook "The Fox" he is notorious, he steals from the rich and other crooks and gives to the poor and needy. Sandra (Esther Schweins) and René (Dieter Landuris) are his accomplices. And when Andrea finds out about him, she wants to join in.
