Ika i rutan was a Swedish television program for children who premiered on November 14, 1988 in SVT. [1] Program leader was Ika Nord who mimicked and was doing mysterious dances, including a skeleton dance. A plastic skeleton named Åke was also often included. The signature melody was composed by Nord's then partner Lars Demian and the last season was directed by Tomas Alfredson. [2] The program can be seen as a continuation of the children's program Rutan, which was broadcast in May 1988 where Ika Nord and another two people were program leaders. Two VHS cassettes have been released by the name Ika in box 1 and Ika in box 2.
