Goal of the series was to portray, in part, centuries-old trades that are threatened with extinction due to industrial progress. In the individual documentations, master craftsmen were depicted in the manual production of a product corresponding to their guild. The protagonist provides information about his apprenticeship, his working life, but also about recipes, handles, materials and techniques of the traditional way of manufacturing his product.
