In this film, the talented Cricket continues to create his songs, to the delight of the forest inhabitants. However, the discovery of fossils of giant insects ends up involving him in an unexpected adventure, which forces him to face several obstacles, including a group of dangerous praying mantises led by the villain Trambika. The plot takes on a more urban tone in relation to the film O Grilo Feliz, released in 2001, with the participation of a fun group of rapper frogs formed by Netão, Sinistro and Cara Dura, who intend to record a CD and escape the suffocating life of the favela. But one of the most surprising moments in the film is the appearance of Pétala, a singing cricket who will enchant everyone and win the heart of Cricket.
